About our Home & residents

Operated by the nonprofit organization Morning Light, the Abbie Hunt Bryce home opened in 2004 and has been a loving home for over 750 Hoosiers to date.

As a free home for people receiving hospice care, we serve Central Indiana residents who are terminally ill and in financial need. We partner with our residents’ hospice providers/nursing agencies to provide comfortable end-of-life care for people of all backgrounds.

We believe that everyone deserves a place of their own, and our staff provides compassionate, respectful, and dignified support to those with nowhere else to turn.

Is your loved one a good fit for our Home?

As a nonprofit organization, Morning Light regrets that we’re unable to accommodate all applicants to the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home.

Our home is only able to serve people who meet specific criteria:

  • Does your loved one have a hospice provider?
  • Is their monthly income $2,200 or less?
  • Do they have a care plan without feeding tubes/drains and injectable medications?
  • Are they pet free?
  • Are they willing and able to abide by our non-smoking and alcohol policies?

If the answers are yes, then your loved one is likely a good fit! We can work with the hospice provider to ensure that our services meet your loved one’s care plan. You can also view our resident agreement for more information.

For next steps, we welcome you to inquire about admission by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
