Almost 200 people flocked to the Forum Conference and Events Center March 12th to celebrate the start of summer at the 2016 Morning Light Beach Ball, sponsored in part by Forum Credit Union.
All proceeds benefitted the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home which provides free accommodations for the terminally ill who have no appropriate place to live in the final stages of life. The event grossed more than $54,000, which will cover almost two months of operational cost!
A key to the event was the return of the Tempos, led by the Bob & Tom Show’s Dean Metcalf. In fact, Dean received Morning Light’s Caring Award for being involved with the event since it started.
WISH TV’s Lori Wilson returned, as did the Naked Monkey crew which again won Best Dressed for its re-creation of the Gilligan Island Crew. A limbo contest broke out, and so did the generosity of those attending: just under $15,000 was raised in the Fund A Cause portion of the evening alone!
