The Morning Light Home has established a set of strict and transparent admission criteria to ensure we can provide the best possible care within our residential setting. These requirements help us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all residents and staff.

– Applicants must be enrolled with a hospice provider.
– Applicants must not have any communicable conditions requiring isolation, such as COVID-19 (as shown by two negative tests or current vaccine card), tuberculosis (as shown by a chest x-ray within 30 days of admission), bedbugs, lice, or scabies.
– The hospice nurse is responsible for all wound care and wound vacuum maintenance.
– We are unable to accommodate needle injections (e.g., insulin), feeding tubes, ostomies, or drains (e.g., peritoneal or pleural).
– Applicants must have a POST/POLST form on file indicating Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) status. We do not accept individuals with “Full Code” status.

– The applicant’s monthly income must not exceed $2,200.
– All durable medical equipment (DME) must be delivered to the home at least one day prior to the scheduled admission.
– All admissions are scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

– Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited on the premises.
– Pets are not permitted to remain on the premises outside of scheduled visiting hours.
– We do not admit registered sex offenders.
