Eleven residents and staff gathered at the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home on a warm September evening to get a jump start on Thanksgiving. “It’s a way for all of us to give thanks for this wonderful Home,” Administrator Renita Johnson said in her opening remarks.

She conceived of the Thanksgiving meal as she heard residents talk about having a time to all get together for a family like gathering.  Traditionally residents have preferred to have smaller meals in late afternoon so the change was welcome. 

Renita (right row, back) and Home Operations Manager Lenox Madubansi (right row, front) served residents and then took time to enjoy the food.  And yes, everyone was thankful for getting a jump on the holidays!
