Love at the Heart of Care — Valentine’s Day at Morning Light

Love at the Heart of Care — Valentine’s Day at Morning Light

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, the Morning Light Home was filled with small gestures of care: flowers, balloons, sweet treats, and, most importantly, presence.

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, the Morning Light Home was filled with small gestures of care. Our team spent time with each resident, sharing flowers, balloons, sweet treats, and, most importantly, presence.

Kate, our Social Services Manager, baked some beautiful heart-shaped cookies for everyone to enjoy. Kylee, our Hospitality Coordinator, carefully prepared and arranged roses so that each resident received a bloom of their own. Together, we brought a little extra color and warmth into rooms.

Beyond ensuring that no one in need dies alone, our mission is rooted in something just as vital: helping people live.

To feel cared for.

To feel remembered.

To feel that their final days hold meaning.

Our residents are not defined by prognosis. They are individuals with stories, humor, memories, and relationships. Please check out the video from our YouTube to see some of the moments of this year’s Valentines gift giving.

On a day devoted to those we hold dear, we were reminded once again that love does not end at the edge of illness. It remains present in the offering of a rose, a cookie, or a few minutes of genuine companionship.

At Morning Light we strive to help our terminally ill residents make the most of each precious day they have, surrounded by care, dignity, and connection. Valentine’s Day was a wonderful moment for our team to celebrate the residents, our team, and all our mission stands for. We hope you had a wonderful day and thank you for being part of our community that allows our home to be such an important resource for those in desperate need.

Your support WILL make a difference. Please donate today to help those most in need. Thank you!
